Tattoo Removal

We use Medlite C6 Q-Switch technology to safely target unwanted ink.

How it Works

Tattoo Removal at Medical Aesthetic uses the Medlite C6 Q-Switch technology to safely target unwanted ink. It creates a pulsed laser beam of higher peak power.

By using a pulsed laser, the higher energy of the laser creates a “photo-mechanical” effect on tattoo ink. Put simply, this amplified light is attracted to the pigment in the tattoo, shattering the ink into tiny pigments which can then be carried away by the body’s own cells.

By combining the high power and nanosecond pulses, the energy is delivered throughout the layers of the skin, faster than the time it takes the tissue to relax. This provides a safe, effective way to control the laser energy and safely achieve desired results. Medical Aesthetic has trialed many laser devices and has found the Medlite C6 Q-Switch technology to be the safest, most effective option on the market.

The process is also significantly less painful than traditional tattoo removal treatments such as excision or salabrasion and does not leave any scarring.

Who is it for?

Typically, laser tattoo removal works best for black ink. It can also be used for unwanted cosmetic tattooing, which is often required prior to having eyebrow feathering re-done. Depending on the size, colour and depth of the tattoo, usually between 6-20 sessions are needed to achieve an 80% reduction. However, significant fading is often noticeable after just a few sessions.

Suitable for:

  • unwanted tattoos
