Vascular Removal
Dealing with rosacea, general redness, or facial veins? 25% of people in Australia experience skin redness and vascularity. We we can help.
What is Vascular Removal treatment?
Vascular laser offers a cutting edge solution, utilising advanced technology to precisely target abnormal vessels, heating them to cause the vein walls to collapse and seal shut to reveal a clear, calm and even complexion.
We offer both long (1064 nm) and short (532 nm) wavelengths to effectively addressing both superficial and deeper vascular concerns to deliver safe, and effective results for patients of all skin types including darker skin tones.
While not all redness is the same, we initiate all redness treatment journeys with a professional consultation to investigate the root cause of the redness and determine the specific type you are concerned with. While laser is the main treatment option, we always support your in-clinic treatments with a daily skincare routine involving medical-grade skincare to regulate and calm inflammation, along with daily sun protection.
Our vascular removal treatment is capable of assisting with vascular lesions such as Broken capileries, Rasacea, acne scarring and cherry angiomas on various areas of the body, including the face, body, neck, décolletage.
How many sessions will I need?
The number of sessions required for vascular removal varies depending on the severity and extent of the vascular condition, as well as the specific treatment method used. Generally, most patients need between 3 to 6 sessions to achieve optimal results. However, some cases may require additional treatments. Each session is typically spaced 4 weeks apart to allow the skin time to heal and for the blood vessels to respond to the treatment.
Before and After
Rosacea is a chronic skin condition characterized by facial redness, inflammation, and often, acne-like papules and pustules. It is believed to be triggered by an overabundance of Demodex mites, particularly Demodex Folliculorum, which reside in hair follicles, and Demodex Brevis, which inhabit sebaceous glands across the body. These mites, most plentiful on the nose, cheeks, chin, and forehead, may excrete substances that lead to an immune response. Rosacea is often linked to Small Intestinal Bacterial Overgrowth (SIBO), where excessive bacteria in the small intestine exacerbate the condition, leading to nutrient malabsorption and gluten sensitivity. Treatments involve therapies aimed at rebuilding and strengthening the skin, such as LED, vascular removal treatment and skin needling. Where required, a referral to a dermatologist may be required for antibiotic treatment to manage bacterial overgrowth and mitigate rosacea symptoms.
Broken capillaries, also known as spider veins or telangiectasias, can be caused by a variety of factors. Common causes include prolonged sun exposure, which damages the skin and weakens the capillaries, and physical trauma or injury to the skin. Other contributing factors include aging, as skin and blood vessels become more fragile over time, and genetics, which can predispose individuals to weaker blood vessel structures. Additionally, lifestyle factors like excessive alcohol consumption, smoking, and extreme temperature changes can exacerbate the condition by causing blood vessels to expand and contract frequently, leading to breakage. Conditions such as rosacea, which involves chronic inflammation and vascular issues, can also contribute to the formation of broken capillaries. Vascular Removal treatment is quick, low downtime and non-invasive procedure.
Cherry angiomas, also known as senile angiomas or Campbell de Morgan spots, are small, benign skin growths composed of clusters of dilated capillaries. The exact cause of cherry angiomas is not well understood, but several factors are believed to contribute to their development. Age, genetics and hormonal changes have been associated with the development of cherry angiomas. Vascular Removal treatment is quick, low downtime and non-invasive procedure.
