Terms and Conditions

POSSIBLE ADVERSE REACTION

LASER HAIR REMOVAL | You may experience all or none of the following post treatment:

  • Slight reddening or local swelling on the area treated that typically disappears in a few hours.
  • On rare occasions you may experience itching, some blistering or bruising may occur.
  • The skin may become lighter or darker, scabs may appear but the skin will generally return to normal in a few weeks. Do not pick at scabs, this may lead to scarring.

COSMETIC INJECTABLES

  • On rare occasions you may experience a slight headache post treatment for up to 1 weekNausea or vomiting, flu like symptoms that will clear up by themselves.
  • Severe swelling in the area leading to discomfort, which will alleviate as swelling reduces.
  • Bruising is most common, icing the area is recommended 24 hours post treatment.

SKIN PEELS

  • Redness, itching, tightness in the skin.
  • Flaking and peeling skin is NORMAL, do not pick at flaking skin or scabs as this can cause hyperpigmentation.

CANCELLATION & REFUNDS POLICY

Please read the following carefully

Cancellation Policy

We require at least 24 hours notice for cancellation or rescheduling of any appointment.

If you cancel your appointment within 24 hours, a $35 cancellation fee will be charged. For appointments one hour or longer, $35 per hour or part thereof will be charged.

We require 24 hours notice to reschedule an appointment if contraindications are present (e.g. sun exposure, fake tan, medication etc). If a client arrives for their appointment and is unable to be treated, the cancellation fee will be applied or a deduction of a pre-paid treatment will be automatically applied to cover for the time allocated to your appointment.

Change of Mind/ Refund Policy 

All purchases are final and refunds will not be issued for change of mind.

All prepaid treatments are valid for 12 months from the date of purchase. An extension fee may be applied to extend expired prepays.

Full payment must be paid at time of booking for any promotional offers.

Treatments are generally non-transferable to other clinic locations. If there is valid reason for a transfer, this will be subject to management discretion.

All treatments, including those that are prepaid, are not transferable to other individuals.

Clients are required to sign a treatment consent form at their first appointment, this will outline the contraindications for each treatment.

It is in the responsibility of the client to follow the treatment plan set by Medical Aesthetic. Failure to do so will hinder the effectiveness of the treatment and therefore Medical Aesthetic will not hold any liability for the client’s results. 

PROMOTIONAL OFFERS

Promotional offers are subject to the specific terms and conditions outlined and are unable to be used with any other offer.

Minimum purchase of sessions may be required to secure promotional offer. Payment in full must be made up front.

All promotional purchases are valid for 12 months unless otherwise specified. Standard terms & conditions apply for cancellation and refunds.

Promotional prices are offered for a limited time only. Promotional period may be specified however offer may be withdrawn or extended at any time.

PACKAGES

All areas/treatments purchases within a package (eg Full Leg, Brazilian, Underarms vs. Full Leg alone, Brazilian alone, Underarms alone) must be used within the same appointment.

If a treatment is is not able to be performed on a certain area due to sun exposure, fake tan or personal choice etc. this area it will be forfeited.

In circumstances where a client would prefer to reschedule to a time where full package can be completed, the cancellation/rescheduling fee will be applied.

GIFT VOUCHERS

Prior to 1st November 2019

Gifts vouchers are valid for 12 months from the date of purchase and are be used on
services and products only. Vouchers are not redeemable for cash and any credit remaining once expired will not be refunded.

After 1st November 2019

Gift Vouchers will be valid for 3 years from date of purchase as per statutory regulations.

Vouchers are not redeemable for cash and any credit remaining once expired will not be refunded.

PRICE PROMISE

If you find it cheaper, we will match it!

Medical Aesthetic will match select competitor’s current advertised price on the same treatment using the same equipment and products. The select competitors that the Price Promise applies to are: Australian Skin Clinics, Laser Clinics Australia, and Clearskin Clinics.

For the avoidance of doubt, the Price Promise does not apply to any other competitors or businesses who are not listed above. Further, the Select Competitor must be within a 3km radius of the Medical Aesthetic clinics from which the client is claiming the Price Promise.

The Price Promise applies to all laser hair removal and skin services and products. Clients must provide proof of the Select Competitor’s advertised price in written form. Medical Aesthetic reserves the right to contact the Select Competitor to confirm their current price is valid. Clients may only purchase the same number of treatments as advertised by the Select Competitor using the Price Promise. The client must disclose that they will request the Price Promise discount at the time of booking, and at the time of paying for their treatment or product. The Price Promise discount will not be applied where the products and/or treatments have already been paid for or received. The Price Promise does not apply to offers made on group buying, discount or coupon websites.

DEPOSITS

Deposits must be paid when the booking is made, without the deposit the booking is not secured.

Clients can pay the deposit over the phone, or through timely when booking an appointment online.

Deposits are used to secure the appointment made, they can be used as a credit towards treatment or product within12 months. If a client attends a consultation though does not proceed with treatment the deposit is then used to pay for the therapists time used up in the consultation appointment. If a deposit is paid for an appointment and that appointment is cancelled prior to the 24 hour cancellation period the deposit may be refunded to the client.
