What is Teenage Acne?

Due to hormonal changes, teens are prone to developing acne. Some teenage acne treatment options include prescription medications, face washes, and other products. Teenage acne is a type of skin condition that can affect the appearance of your skin’s outer layer. It can be caused by a combination of dead skin cells, bacteria, and oil. Although it can happen at any age, it is more common for young adults and teens to get acne due to the influx of hormones.

It’s important to note that there are many people out there who suffer from acne. Studies show that almost all young people experience acne at some point between the age of 12 and 25. Fortunately, teenage acne can usually subside as one gets older, and it can be prevented by maintaining good skin care habits.
